Even if you have a wedding planner/coordinator, it is always a good idea to designate someone as your point person. You coordinator can act as both or you may pass this position onto a bridesmaid or close friend.

What is a point person?

This is completely up to you as the bride, but we like to think of it as the person representing your voice for the day of your wedding.

You shouldn’t have to be worried about the details of the wedding on the day of, so designating a point person takes the stress off your shoulders.

Some of these tasks include:

  • Managing incoming calls, texts, emails on the bride’s phone
  • Answering questions from family and friends
  • Being in charge of the rings
  • Directing guests/vendors

You can also appoint a point person for events other than weddings such as birthdays, corporate events, and nonprofit. Always make sure the person you appoint is well aware of the details of the event otherwise they’ll be point-LESS. 😉
